What are some good examples of how audience behaviour is changing in the online age?

Due to the online age, the way in how audiences watch televiosn shows has changed. An example of this can be seen with the show House Of Cards, an £100 million show, exclusive to the online service Netfllix. Typically shows are picked up by big companies like AMC or HBO, and would be avaliable with a normal cable box, but it is stricly online exclusive. This shows how audience members are ready to move on to the always online stage, where as a couple of years ago, there was always the worry that once the internewt went down, so did the stream, but with the now more reliable internet speeds, streams are less likely to go down.

Audience's have now come to expect to be able to watch progammes on demand when ever they want, which is what happpend with House Of Cards, instead of being relased weekly, all 13 episodes were out at the same time, meaning that you could watch them at your bown pace. Audiences have been known to 'binge' on episodes, meaning that you watch 4-5 episodes at once.

  1. A good answer to the question of changing audience behaviour.

For your your next task of writing up the Primewire case study I want you to concentrate on the truthful evaluation of how illegal streaming is affecting the industry - in other words I want to you arrive at your own conclusions based on the evidence at hand.
